About Cold Spark

Cold Spark is a ten-year-old agency headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA. We've grown from a two-person shop to a 23-person firm. We've done work in over 30+ states all across the country. Our clients vary from political campaign to large non-profits to small businesses. We help our clients tell their story to the people they need to communicate with in order to achieve their goals.

The Project Manager serves as a liaison among client services, creative, art, copy, digital, production, and clients. You play a central role in the business, assuring smooth work flow by producing schedules, establishing priorities, and following up with each team member through all phases of a project. Most importantly, you ensure each project is completed on time and within budget. Basecamp is used to schedule and allocate time to staff for projects and as Project Manager will be the way you monitor a project.

 

Client management responsibilities

  • Supporting the Account Managers and Account Lead in scheduling and planning of all copy, design, and production work through the agency and monitoring all jobs to ensure that are to brief, time, budget and delivered to the highest standard. Take ownership of designated projects, coordinating from brief to execution, and liaise between all internal and external teams. Ensuring to escalate any change in scope of work and problem to the appropriate staff member.

  • Working very closely with all our internal teams to oversee workflow through the whole project lifecycle, following agreed agency processes and procedures. This will involve managing multiple project schedules, handing external quotes, reporting and escalating any significant budget problems/scope creep.

  • Supporting the Account Manager & Account Lead in establishing objectives, priorities, and organizing a practical work schedule, ensuring effectiveness by following through on each job at each stage of completion.

  • Keeping on top of any changes to scope of work and communicating these to Account Manager & Account Lead.

  • Continue to review/improve processes to ensure we are achieving the highest standards.

  • Clearly communicate the project status and details of the work when needed internally or externally to clients.

  • Ensuring clients receive a very high level of service.

 

Qualifications

  • You will ideally have gained experience in a communications agency or political campaign, with knowledge, interest and or understanding of developing print & digital projects e.g. website, HTML email campaigns, & direct mail. 

 

  • You will have outstanding communication skills and always be able to come up with a solution

 

  • You will have a creative but organized mind-set and are excellent at multi-tasking

 

  • Maintain an unrivalled upbeat and positive attitude
